I am sick and tired of cooking for 4 people, when only two of us eat dinner and the other two eat whatever...
I cook because when Mom gets home she is tired... where as my sister throws a fit any time I ask her to cook or if I ask her bf... who doesn't throw a fit, he just nods...
But it seems that when I cook only mom and I eat... and a big maybe if my sister eats at all... and her bf very very rarely eats what I cook.
I'm not a bad cook, yes I'm still a beginner... but If i was bad, my mother would not eat my food.
My sister doesn't do a thing at all... if you ask her to do something she says, "I'm feeding the baby." And I tell her... JOEY IS SITTING RIGHT NEXT TO YOU PLAYING A VIDEO GAME!!! HE CAN PAUSE IT AND FEED HER!
I do the dishes, the cooking, the sweeping and the mopping...
Joey does work... but not every day.
Point is, I'm not going to cook for those who are not going to eat. I've told my mom, and she even said that if we have to we'll reduce what we buy for the two weeks, and they'll be on their own. (She'll never do it... but thats what she told them.)
And personally I hate left overs! I don't mind it once in awhile, but not every night!
Plus, my sister needs to learn some responsibility. Especially since I'm leaving for college in August... who's going to cook then!?

Sorry to hear your troubles but let me tell you this it is the same for a lot of mom's. Just think when you go off to school it won't be you problem anymore. Hang in there.

Thats what I have to do with all the ones here at our house. I might make extra and leave for the 22 yr old grandson, but the other 3 are always eating whatever they want at all hours of the day. No one ever cleans up after themselves so I just clean up until I have the area clean enough around my sewing machine and then I sew.....yeah..I wear my mp3 player with a downloaded story on it and can't hear the kitty shows on tv. Sometimes you just have to try and outsmart them.

I used to cook for the whole building (Cause it's a two flat, and the only people down stairs are my grandfather, aunt, 2 cousins, and my aunts friend that no body likes ((but like her more than my aunt... long story, it's in my personal diary on here))) but then my aunt moved back in last year (she moves in and out like it's a fluctuating fashion trend) and no one downstairs, except my grandfather, was eating. Now, I was always being blamed for my grandfathers high bloods sugar... he has diabetes... and I watched them test him one night... I saw that it said 95... and my aunt tells him, 145. Now, she has no eye site problem, but he does. It wasn't so he'd take more meds... it was so that he'll kick me out of the kitchen and let them cook... I didn't let her have the satisfaction... Two weeks later I was cooking for just upstairs. And I now get to listen to them complain about how none of them don't want to cook... and how they are always ordering out... and I say... "Awww that's too bad, shouldn't have kicked the only willing cook out and being a food nazi." My aunt is a beach if you catch my drift. Until she came back every thing was fine... now it's not... My mother has already decided that when my aunt leaves, she's moving in down stairs, so that my gpa can rent the upstairs out... also, gpa makes my aunt, cousins, and aunts friend pay rent... and refuses to take my moms money, no matter how much my mom tries to pay him.
So my sister doing this is bothering me... a lot! so I am going to do to her what I did those down stairs.

Sister is a spoiled brat, sorry. She has a baby and acting like that.. Well, we know she doesn't respect you. Is your mom going to be ok when you go to school in the fall?/? Honey, go ahead and vent. This has been building up for awhile. You will feel better. I honestly FEEL your pain.

I'm famous around here for "fend for yourself night". Everybody is on their own. And I keep a stock of paper plates so they can just microwave whatever they want and not dirty dishes.
Sadly "fend for yourself night" is almost every night anymore!! I would rather quilt! :-D :-D

My mom she'll be alright. If my sister doesn't cook, my mom will... I'm close enough that I can come home at any time to be sure she eats...
And yes, my sister is a spoiled brat. She's been the specially handled one since she was born. (She was born 2 months early, and didn't walk till she was 3, and didn't talk till she was about 2 or 3)
I love my sister. Her and I fight all the time... But now she has the baby, and she needs to learn to be more responsible... I WILL give her this though, She is very very very good with that baby! She takes very good care of her! Which is surprising since she is such a young mom (17).
