Make sure you get there early so you can check out the tubs. I open them and look when I go to auctions. It is usually not a problem to do that. You don't want to get stuck with tooooo much stuff you don't want.

Good luck. Winfield is such a pretty town. My Uncle George was a florist there for a great many years, he also was a member of their acting guild. We used to go there quite a bit.

I didn't know Winfield had a theater group. I just googled their website and it looks interesting!
Thanks quiltingcandy for mentioning that. I will have to go see a show sometime.
Oh yes, I always go early to look, unfold, and examine as much as i can before a sale.

I got 2 large stacks of denim, which will go into my rag quilts. That was a bonus!
I washed those up first and started cutting squares. LOL
    Here are a few pics:

I went to my first auction few months ago. Lots of fabric n craft items. I helped another quilter get few bins. Some women were brutal wanted all of the stuff! There was plenty. I bought a couple bins and left. Not worth fighting I did get a huge bin oif yarn just so I could split it up to a few ladies who couldn't afford to buy

Yes there were a couple women like that there yesterday. They decided it was their material before the bidding started.
I had to show them i would not back down. The first couple piles cost me, but after that i pretty much got what i wanted much cheaper.
you have to make a believer out of them right off the bat. I sure got some dirty looks, but i just smiled.
Later i held open the door (we were inside a building) for one of them taking her stuff out and she looked surprised. LOL
