Last week I saw the news cast about the racing car magnate that bought Aaron Spellings 100 room house for his 22 or 23 yrs. old daguhter for a mere sum of 150 million. I told DH that evening that I was realy mad at him because he let that house slip by. Just think, I could have one room for a LA, one for cutting, one for piecing, one for sewing, and at least 3 for fabrics. Why I could have my own Quilt shop there. I have no idea what I would do with all the other rooms. I would probably get lost after I left my quilting area, so I would have to have at least one bedroom in the quilting area to rest.
They said there was a room just for gift wrapping, one for doing floral arrangements, and who knows what else.
When I win the lottery I may ask her if she wants to sell it, lol.

Also I think my tastes are a little more modest than some of those shown...All I want is is an up to $500,000 house (thousand not million - LOL), but I want it in Hawaii with an ocean view. That one will be small compared to the ones shown here, but once I convert the kitchen to a quilting room, it will be perfect (just need to make sure the phone works for delivery) :)
PS...IrelandDragon...LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that movie, and have ALWAYS thought the house was the coolest thing!

Oh, if you do win the lottery and move to Hawaii...build that dream house on any island but the Big Island....active volcano on one side and tidal wave danger on the other...I was born there. HA!

If we're talking dream homes, here's mine http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=...&FORM=IDFRIR.. Love it.It definitely takes you back in time. My fav. room is the indoor pool. Do you think I could convert a few of the 34 bedrooms into sewing rooms? :D
