I don't know if this will help at all but I decided a long time ago that I was going to be generous to others because it's what I WANT TO DO and NOT look back because SO often they are not as thankful as they should be. For example, if I have a little extra, yes, I give the guy on the corner a few bucks and I say "here ya go...go get a warm meal". Of course people always say "he's just gonna go get drugs or booze!!" So when my kids asked about it I told them that if I give the money and he buys booze or drugs, that's HIS bad but if I don't give and that one person, who really does need it, deserve it and will use it for food is the one I pass by...that's MY BAD. I'd much rather have to explain being too generous than leaving those in need behind. You are a generous person and you will be blessed. Your roommate on the other hand will have alot to explain :(

Thank You...all of you! The words you all posted on here took the sting out of her actions. I am blessed because I have you as friends and my heart doesn't hurt as much because of your kindness.... Thank you again!

I am so sorry for you that this happened. Personally I would evaluate your friendship. Doesn't seem like a thing a friend would do to their friend. About the quilt, you made it & they know it. That matters a lot! Your time, attention & talent. Your heart was in the right place so that is another plus on your side. I don't know if I would reveal to the parents what their DD did. It might turn a meaningful quilt into an unpleasant reminder & cause them pain. I would deal with the friend though. Again, I am so sorry.

I feel so bad! But you know you did a wonderful thing. Be pleased with yourself for an excellent job and making something that will bring joy to them anyway! You know the truth in your heart and that's what matters!!!!
