Oh please never throw scraps away, there are people like me that can not sew at all if it was not for the generosity of other quilters, I don't have an income, and am disabled. Penny

Hmmm thinking if the scraps are not too too little could save up for a couple months and offer them to a local quilt shop for use? or maybe a church group in the area that quilt? I just hate the thoughts of waste ! :) just me ...

My friends uses the tiny scraps of fabrics to make the coolest scarfs.

I will see if I can find a link to show a picture of them.

No more little bits of fabric that I never use!!!! It's either me or the tiny scraps and I have to save my sanity.

Yes I can!

I CAN use the trash basket and it will accept whatever I put in it - and more importantly - I will not take one thing out of it!!!!
LOL!!! After seeing what my aunt had after years of sewing I probably waste too much but I don't want to end up with tons of junk like she had!
marsye: off subject but Please tell me you actually live in the house in this avatar!! It is beautiful!

So is one of my daughters...if she ever got into my fabrics, she'd toss a lot of it, thinking I wouldn't use it. Not long ago, I threw a perfectly good remnant of silky lining fabric that would have made a lovely doll's christening gown, but I was under pressure and tossed it... Never again! But seriously, I DO toss scraps that are too small.

Putting a flate rate box close to your cutting area is a good idea. I have alot of scraps & I use some of them for paper piecing especially, but now I know what else I can do with them. When I get a chance to go through them I will post it & gladly share. I don't ever throw things out that someone else can use if I know about it.

I always saved my scraps, but never used them. So trash they go. Just do it and don't look back.
