No more little bits of fabric that I never use!!!! It's either me or the tiny scraps and I have to save my sanity.

Yes I can!

I CAN use the trash basket and it will accept whatever I put in it - and more importantly - I will not take one thing out of it!!!!
There are a number of quilters on this forum who love tiny scraps. Instead of a trash can, why not get a box from the post office. (I use the cube size.) Toss the seemingly unuseable stuff into the box. When it is full (happens quickly), stick a card telling who you are and then send it to one of the scrappers here. What an easy way to make someones day. I've done it 4 times since August, these ladies have become very good friends. Beats throwing things away.

Dog and cat beds are very much appreciated by the animal shelters. I have a friend in my local guild that collects scraps from everyone for this very purpose. It's so freeing to be able to put a project that has gone terribly wrong into the "doggie bag." You know that the fabric will go to good use so it doesn't really feel like you're throwing something of value out with the garbage.

You can throw those scraps away. I know, because I do it and the world has not come to an end. If I can get a 3 1/2 or 4 1/2 inch sqare out of it, I cut it, put with the others I have cut, and throw the rest away.
