I want to tell you how Blessed you are and so is he!!! Sometimes a mother has got to do what a mother's got to do!!!
I speak with a very heavy heart... I gave my son the same choice, but he sure had a a very hard time making the decision...he is now 41, and doing so much better, but never did join the service. He bacame a SSI patient for a very serious diagnosis. I did not realize the health issues until he was admitted to the hospital, had extensive tests done. Thank God he is still alive, but has a very hard time staying on medication and keeping his housing in line... I pray for him daily and every nite for sure for God's hand on him all the time...

My son's story isn't as dramatic as yours but the military changed him in some very positive ways and made him grow up. Congrats on your success with your son after so long----and his success in the military. Wishing him a long and distinguished career.

What a wonderful story. Thank your son for his service and thank you to all the men and women who are serving our country. I have been watching some of the 9/11 coverage and have been shedding so many tears in memory and also thinking about all the fine young, and sometimes older, folks in our military. Safe homecoming to all of them.
