Congratulations!! And thank your son for me. I had two nephews (they passed away when they were in their early 20's and 30's) and one great nephew (he is in prison at 22 for vehicular manslaughter) who did not learn the lesson that your son has learned. May GOD bless him and keep him safe as he serves our country.

You raised yourself a wonderful young man, thank him for all of us for making going over there to keep us all safe in our beds at night. I am retired military and I know how hard it is to be a long way from home, but knowing that others support and respect you for going it makes it easier.

You are certainly a caring mother and knew how to handle the situation. I believe that you son and other young people want to get out of bad situations, but don't know how. I wish to thank him for caring about the USA and serving his country.

I'm glad your son fround lhis place. My grandson was the same. He is a corporal due to come home from Iraq early November. He married just before he went overseas. He had a baby girl with a girlfriend when he was 19. He is talking about trying to get custody of her when he gets back. She was recently taken from the mother and grandfather. The court awarded my daughter and so-in-law temporary custody. They were not there and hadn't applied. It is the best place for a 2 1/2 year old. As stable environment with people who love her. Not sure how long this will last. Hopefully until my grandson can get back and apply for full custody.
