Keeping my fingers crossed. If they are calling you for a second interview that is a good sign. Don't sell yourself short but be reasonable. Laid off does not equal getting fired!!!!!

You can't draw unemployment if you're fired. I know it feels the same, but getting fired is bc you did something not good for the company. Getting laid off is bc of cutbacks.

You can get unemployment if you're fired, unless the firm 'protests'. You cannot get unemployment if you quit.

People get laid off because there is no work for them to do. People get fired because they're not a good worker.

I had a great job - was director of one company and helped manage two others that one man owned. I had my son in law working as the companies Accountant, my DH worked for me (property manager). Then the owner died and the company closed. We all lost our jobs! That was in '08. I've had other jobs since then that did not work out (selling insurance), DH and SIL are also now employed full time elsewhere) but am now working only part time at WalMart as it was/is the only thing available. At least it's a pay check. I've been looking for full time, good pay since '08.

We keep it in prayer each day and know that no matter where we are, where we are working (or not) that God has us there for a reason. When one door closes a window or another door is opened.

Give it all up to God. It may be a rough stretch for you, but make the best of it and never give up.

I pray that your second interview goes well and you get the job. If not know that we are here for you and you can lean on us and vent or celebrate which ever you need to do at any given time.

As for the rest of them going out to celebrate - I'd be instantly saving my money! But, that's me.

Well, that's my story of being there and my 2 cents worth.

I know how you feel. I have been unemployed for one month now. Everyone is right, keep busy. Get sewing, sewing and sewing. I have spent all my time (when not looking for work) in my sewing room. I have finished several projects, it does help with the time, you do have somewhere to go.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. Good Luck on Monday, keep us updated.

Blessing to you,
Denise
