I wish I could say I have the treadle machine, but my sister inherited that. And she decided that it didn't sew well and put it in a garage sale. That happens.

How wonderful !! When my DM died 7 years ago and I cleaned out her home..I found and use an old sewing stand..full of stuff from her Mother (myGM) and in a closet 2 old Singers..1949 and a 1922..I think these are great memories..I have it all in my sewing room !! Oh..on a lighter note..I also found 90.00 cash in her jewlery box and 200.00 in her Bible..that was a shocker !!

The day before MDH told me I have the treadle, the Dr. I work for gave me the one he had! When I told MDH, he said,OH YA you now have2! I know it needs a new belt. Would like to give it a good home, but don't know much about this machine. Have to do some research.

now that's a treasure, I'd be over the hill to have my mother inlaw's thimble that was her grandmother's....it was open ended, too. Enjoy the sentiments.

    Blessings, Ruth
