OH, YEAH! The best part of waitressing IS the tips. I love getting paid the day I work, lol. Ya know, I will only make $2.33 an hour plus tips, so Uncle Sam takes most of my $2.33!
Aunt Doggie, I am saving up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so happy for you. I know how tough it is out there in the job market. So far my college graduate son finally found work, my other son in CT is starting back next week so things are looking up, hopefully.

brings back memories..and dates me, my 1st job was at Howard Johnson...3 hr.shifts-twice a day-so that they could pay you legally 50 cents an hr-we hustled for tips. But over the yrs, I pumped gas, washed & ironed for others, worked 2 jobs-days in an office-nites at a cafe, so I could eat, and only bought my daughters food for the house-was a lot of tuff times. I was trained & skilled inventory analyist, but raised a special needs child alone(her dad could not handle "the shame" so left) So this being out of work is an ages old problem, just have to reach down grab up your boots & start marching & smiling.

CONGRATS!!!!  I'm so happy for you! I know how it is to be without a job. My fiance has been unemployed since June 2009 and still hasn't been able to find a job.
