I started a genealogy research on my Mother's mother in 1998. She died when my Mother was 8 years old and no one knew anything about her. Just this year with the help of a friend at the Family Search Center , I have found her online and that she died in 1919! I have also found her parents, and their parents and so on. It has been a long ride but it is nice to know "where you come from". I know how you feel and share your excitement. I just wish I could have been as fortunate as you and found a living relative... still may find one. Who knows? So much info is going online everyday. You can search for free at any of the Family Search Centers in your area. They offer Ancestry.com free. I couldn't afford to pay for it for all the searching I have done so it has been worth the time to go to the Center. Hope this helps someone find their family...
