I Hate Scorpions
We have seen 11 in the six years we've lived here, but the most recent 3, have been in the last week and a half. Jim is getting some stuff today. The LAST thing I expected at dinner the other night was to have one 2 inches from my left foot.

We have them on a regular basis, out here in TX. We've had the best luck, with a product called Demon. Dh sprays it around the foundation of the house. Whenever I see one, I just grab my fly swatter and smack it, a few times. The fly swatter is a LOT faster (and easier), than spraying it with something, then watching it scurry away. It takes a strong poison, to kill a scorpion . . . but they squash pretty easily!

I lived on the gulf side of Florida about 30 years ago and my first husband and I were out behind his Aunt's house. He saw about 4 scorpions and picked me up and threw me over a 4 foot fence then hopped over it himself.....LOL
That is the last time I went wandering around her backyard...LOL

We see one occasionally around here. If we see one in the house it's usually just a little quarter-sized one. If we do see one in the house it's a reminder that it's time for our quarterly exterminator visit. Same thing with spiders.

We've been seeing a lot of large wolf spiders in the house. One evening I was on the computer and thought I saw something out of the corner of my eye. Ugly thing came right up to where I had my hand on the mouse. I backed away so fast and ran to get the camera. If you have a wheel on your mouse, it covered the whole corner of the mouse wheel and left side click button. I also missed it with the flyswatter. But my glasses flew off my desk. Never saw it after that. DH stepped outside this morning to let the dogs do their business and a tarantula was trying to get into the door. it was about 4 inches from tip to tip. Eeeeekkkkkkk!
