I honestly don't mind her sewing and she has been interested since she was 5, the main reason for upgrading machines was to have a speed control to slow it down for her. I had just planned on her moving to my old machine once she mastered the right speed and she is now spoiled. Happens to the best of us. Once she gets her the last few strips on the blocks she is working on I will share a picture.

In the mean time here is a picture of her first completed regular size quilt.

This is so much better for her than playing video games or spending hours in front of the TV. I'm proud of her.

She still does, unfortunately being in Texas she is not out in the heat much because Mom cannot take it and she is still to young to be unsupervised, I don't think she will ever be old enough to play outside unsupervised :).

I'm so glad that she is having fun sewing. I'm teaching my granddaughter to make quilts, we're doing blocks like your dd.

Wonky, even VERY wonky, sounds just about perfect for a kid her age! Please post a picture when she gets a little more done, so we can sent kudos and encouragement to do more!

Well, you should be proud to have created a new quilter. Sounds like she has learned well at her mother's knee. That's totally awesome. I've been sewing since I was about 9 or 10 and have kept it up for almost 55 years.
