I will pray for a solution and quick recovery. What an unbelievable story, 30 years, talk about great medical care. Amazing that it was taken this long to e problematic. Wishing you get a great doctor that will take the darn thing out and you won't suffer any more.

So sorry to read this happened to you. Absolutely, you need to inform the original doctor about this. He/she will probably offer some kind of financial help, if not.... well, that's why docs carry insurance so we innocent victims don't have to foot the bill for something gone wrong.
Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Please post when they decide what to do and keep us updated. I'll be interested to find out the end result.

There is a more than an inch long piece of an injection needle in there sticking in my hip bone!?
I "knew" about it, but since it happened more than 30 years ago, I`ve forgotten all about it a long time ago.
The doctor back then didnt say a word but about half a year later I had an x-ray where it showed. They told me to take care of it, otherwise I would get problems sooner or later. I was so young and there was no pain.........so what.
So it took that darn thing more than 30 years to move into the skin of the bone and the pain is almost killing me. Have to wait for thursday morning to go to the hospital where they will discuss on how to take it out.
please keep your fingers crossed
(my Janome horizon was delivered this morning and I hardly can sit!?)
