I Have Taken A Break From Quilting!
#21
My grand daughter saved her allowance and purchased her very own American Girl Doll. For her birthday her mom
was going to take her to the American Girl doll store while visiting her other grandmother. I made doll clothes and sent to her for her birthday and when she saw them she was so happy she decided to buy a second doll with her money, she had again saved, and some she earned for her birthday. So since she was so happy with what I had done I had to make more doll clothes, so I too am taking a break from quilting, but I'm still having so much fun!!!
She said,"Grammy, the one's you make are better than the American girl doll clothes." Can't get any more appreciation than that, so more clothes she will have!

i have to laugh. I didn't make many when my girls were small. Along comes the cutest grandaughter with such a smile I would do anything. That included two American girl dolls and from then for years, each time it was two doll dresses and one to match "exactly" for my grandaughter!! Be careful what you start!....some of my best memories though!
