saltines, are unleavened, usually very salty, and crunchy.
It's a cracker. Do you have crackers of ANY kind? take out 99% of the flavor, add a little more salt, and voila! saltine.
We use them in soups over here,...and to spread stuff on.
As a teenager, when my mother was going thru her cake decorating phase, we kids, would spread the leftover icing, (crisco and confectioners sugar, with just a dab of water), on saltines.
    yes, on saltines!!!
There were 8 ppl in our family, so, you know,...ya eat some weird stuff.
We thought it was good.

    Update

It's 3:00 in the morning here, and I can't sleep. Drinking a glass of milk and sucking on a Werthers.

Made it to my sewing room for a little while and did laundry whil e down on that end of house.

Went and had 5 in cut off my hair, what a great way to loose weight!
    Cleaned tables for den.
Cleaned and hung some of the pictures back
    Cleaned our bedroom and bath
moved paint cans and found counter in kitchen and cleaned it!
It's still raining, so can't get old furniture out or new in.

DH went by furniture store today and told them we would pick up furniture next Tuesday. hopefully it will have dried out some by then.

Going away for the weekend, It is my BBF weekend! Every year 5 of us girls who went to school together from grade school on get together. so I am now packing for the trip. WJ, has been my best friend since we were 5 yrs old , over 50 yrs now, and the others came along later in grade school. We carry on like teenagers .

So, I can't change the weather and have decided to ignore it all for a couple of days!
will be taking some hand quilting with me, for the long ride!
There is a quilt shop about 3/4 of the way there, so will stop and shop!
    :D :D

Will come home with a new attitude and ready to finish the DEN!

    Ninnie

PS DH liked my new hair cut !

this made me laugh - 'It's a cracker!' was the catchphrase of an irish comedian called Frank Carson - he said it after EVERY joke he told!
