Lovie comes into my cousin's hair salon twice a week and has that hair done! She says real loud "Now I want someone who can tease real good, cause I need a lot of teasing to get it high enough" My cousin cracks up, you just gotta love Lovie!

You all have those devious smiles on your faces!
Should we REALLY ask what you've been doing? lol
Glad you are back and had a wonderful time!

It's like we are 16 again when we get together. There were only 32 in our graduating class, so we always went everywhere as a group. Still know where most of them are. My Uncle was the Principal and My Aunt the Secretary and My Grandmother ran the Cafeteria, so I was watched all the time and still managed to get into trouble!

Have you got the new furniture yet? You know, it's supposed to rain again tomorrow night. (Like we need more rain)

    Update!

Well , we brought the furniture home last night, finished unloading about 10:30.
Love the furniture, just what I wanted, but it looks terrible with the walls!

So, we are off tho Lowes tonight to buy paint! thought I would be hanging pictures and curtains today, instead trying to decide what color to paint.

I need some suggestions, anything but white.

I will post a picture of one of chairs against the wall and you can see what I mean.

Have thought of just putting house up for sale and starting all over at this point.
This is the room that we spend most of our time in, and where all company comes to, we seldom use the living room, so have to look at these walls everyday.

Please give me some ideas on paint!!!!

PS: Mortimer doesn't like the furniture, it smells funny to him,

larger chair against wall, clashes with paint!!!

    small chair against wall YUCK!!!

How about a paler creamy yellow? I think it would look really stylish with that furniture.

Have you ever seen or tried 'sponging'? Less messy than painting - and faster. You can do the whole room in a day. I'd go with a lighter color - maybe a creamy tone -. It's very easy to do. Just ask at the paint place, or Lowe's or a craft place. I've done it with natural sponges, but you can actually do it with wadded up plastic bags. Try it on a board first - or in an inconspicuous place to see how it works. Even on a piece of cardboard. It's easy to get carried away and do TOO much - so stop every once in a while and stand back. It gives a kind of 'old tuscan' mottled look.

Oops!!! I agree, if the pics are showing up the right color...the beige color is all wrong..I would pull the yellow out of the upholstery. do you have an arm cover or is a cushion loose that you can just throw in the car and take to the paint store with you? They can exactly match the color for you.
