I have had this cactus plant, an offspring of my father's, for 15 yrs. I had been watching and waiting for the opening of the blossoms for over a week! This morning I came upon the beautiful blooms, some opened and some not as of yet! These are double blossoms, I just adore this plant! I have another that blooms near Christmas or just after, that is more to the red side in color, but this year for some reason the blossoms did not complete their growth before drying and falling off.

Oh, a few of my Willow figurines appear in the photos too.. :) and a picture of my DS,DDL and DGS's :)

    Cactus in bloom!

    Beautiful!
I have a Christmas cactus that will go for a few years and not bloom at all, then will bloom anytime between Thanksgiving and Easter!
I've had it since 1993 when it was still small. My late father-in-law had several different cactus and I got this one after he died.

I love when it blooms. Your's is pretty in the pink.

My family has a Christmas cactus that is over 100 years old. It belonged to my faternal grandfather. It was given to my Mom when he went into a nursing home years ago. He is no longer with us. Mom wanted me to take it home after several years at her house. Since it was huge, I had no room for it because my house was full to the brim with all of my plants. I have a super green thumb and all plants thrive at my house. Probably inherited it from Grandpa. So our cactus finally went to one of my younger brothers. As far as I know, it still blooms regularly. It has pretty dark pink flowers. Enjoy yours because flowers bring beauty to one's day. :) I no longer have flowering plants because of my allergies.
