It looks just like what happened to me with my iron. It's probably a stinkbug. Mine didn't come out until it became so waterlogged that it just fell apart in the iron, then it poured out with the water. It took a while and ironing really grossed me out to look at that bug every time! Those stinkbugs like cloth, too. I find them hiding in the folds of fabric I have laying around. Yuck!

I got my iron out one time and it had an ant bed inside. I turned it on to get it hot and ants went every where. Had to keep flushing it to get them all out.

Glad to bring a few laughs to the board :) My girls were laughing at me I am such a germ freak and this just grosses me out to now end!!! I will try to use it on quilts not going to kids I guess the adults will have to deal with it. My old iron is working ok so OH MAN this really gives me the creeps!! It goes to say that paying the trugreen guys to keep bugs at bay is really work the money!! this is the first year we choose not to spray for bugs and we have a huge spider and bug issue. Oh man icky!!! I will try an eye dropper. My water resevor has a v shaped thing that points down and doesn't let anything out but water so I think once the bug got in he could not get out.

Give it to your honey DH and let him see what can be done.

That was my first thought too. Either suck it out or grab it with a pair of tweezers. Or put a straw deep in the water and blow into it..or attach it to a filled balloon and let the air out of it into the straw. No way would I want my mouth to get near a straw with a big bug near it that might want to climb out of the water into the...ugg!~
