Great suggestions, everyone. Thank you so much. Oh, my! I will be set for a while!

I have read The Thirteenth Tale (well, audio-read it--excellent narrator) and I loved it!! I was hooked.

teacherbailey--I've read most of Jodi Picoult's books, except for House Rules. The last one of hers I read was kind of disappointing and I don't think I finished it. Have you read House Rules?

So many great suggestions! I'm keeping a list! I really appreciate your responses.

Glenda M-is it Jeanette Wells? Something like that. I read The Glass Castle...thanks for reminding me!

The two series that I am reading are the Elm Creek Quilt novels by Jennifer Chiaverin. Also all the books by Debbie Maccomber she has many out some are mini series but all I have read I have really liked.

I agree on Janet Evanovich's books about Stephanie Plum, a bounty hunter. They are mindless reading, but so entertaining and I have found myself giggling out loud reading them. The first 5 books in her series are my favorite. After that, they got to be just ok. Her grandmother is the highlight of the series - she loves to go to funerals.

All of the above are great books. I have read the Elm Creek, Debbie Macomber, Janet Evanovich, just finished Emili Richards, I also enjoy Kristan Hannah. If you go to half.com the books are fairly reasonable to buy if you cannot get them at the library. If you can't get into reading do something else for a while. I sometimes go through stages that I cannot get into any book, so I stop for awhile then I will pick one up and off I go again. It is kind of like quilting after Christmas is hard for me so I take a break.

I started to read the Debbie McComber books. She has many and some are a series. They are an easy read and great bedtime books. Can read one in a day. Librarys carry them as book stores.

If you like mysteries, go to www.stopyourekillingme.com . This lists books by authors, characters, occupations, etc.

My very favorite audio book is

Islands" by Ann Rivers Siddons. I have listened to it 3 or 4 times and every time I hear something that I missed the previous time.
