We are hoping to be closing of my house before the end of the year. I want to present my buyers with their new house keys, attached to a creative keychain. When I bought the house the closing was very boring and I don't want this for my buyers. I am sad to sell my house but it is a huge relief and I want them to have a positive experience. Any ideas on what to do?

When we closed on our motorhome the salesman gave us a key chain with our last name initial and our birthstones (in crystals) on it and a St. Christopher Protect Us medal on it. I thought it was perfect, I have it hanging in our kitchen window.

Maybe try to find one that says "Home Sweet Home". Or "Home is Where the Heart Is". Or something else like that, related to it being their new home.

A hand made fabric key chain with Home Sweet Home on one side and the date they get the keys/closing date and maybe write Best Wishes or something like that on the other?

When we bought our house, my friend, the Realtor gave us door knocker with our last name engraved on it. I LOVE it and took it from last house to this one.

What cool ideas. We got a house when we bought our house. Nothing else. But now it's our home.

I have built every house that I have lived in except this one, and when I closed on this house I came home to a garage full of garbage and old crap that they didnt even bother taking. After going through all of the stuff I made enough money off of it to pay for my closing cost and then some.

    Thank you eBay!!

    all right Billy!

I forgot- when we bought the office (a little house we made into the office) I got 2 bottles of champagne- one from the Realtor and 1 from my mortgage broker. We had been looking for over a year and I think they were happy I finally found a place!

I very seldom drink, but I do like champagne.

it's a work in progress. :) But I love being here- so much nicer than the old place. No more cubicles. I'm hardly ever in my office, I like to work out with the girls in the main room. I still need to paint my office, change the color in the bathroom, a second coat on the kitchen, make curtains for the back room. Rip up the carpet in the basement, install shelves in the basement for the boxes of files...

Sounds like home doesn't it? :)
