I loved everything you said until I realized you did not mean 'my' city, but yours. I want this building to be in my small town. Wish you lots of luck though.

I am buying a lottery ticket now. Will let you know when I collect the winnings. Then we will talk.

Wish I could help. If you ever get this opened I may have to move to NYC or at least have my son who works there roam over and I'll give him a list of what to buy

Can you imagine getting all the fabrics you want, taking the escalator up and take a class, or rent some table space to sew, maybe free tables for pining, and inside a gallery where non-quilters can come in and buy the quilts for sale. The more I think about it the more I want it.[/quote]

Would the name of your shop be "Quilting Heaven" :)

I think you might need more than a million... sadly, even a million doesnt stretch very far these days... but it is a wonderful dream to come true...

Are you open to partners? I have a spare $20 I can invest.
Don't live too far from Manhattan and will be at the shop in a New York Minute. May in Jersey

PS: Love the idea of an escalator, my legs and stairs don't agree lately.
