I had torn meniscus on both knees. had the surgery on the left one - piece of cake. Was going to have the other one done when we moved across the country. Left one hasn't been giving me ANY trouble, but the right one is horrendous (sp). I can't walk (don't have any confidence in the docs here - they said nothing regarding repairing it - said I need a new knee---------(don't know for sure) but now, entire body has been aching for 8-9 months. Don't be afraid of getting lapriscopic (sp) surgery for the tear - it is easy. Good luck to you.

I had both knees done for torn meniscus~~(one at a time) that was not so bad, but I had a full knee replacement that has given me fits since it was done almost three years ago. I am not having the other one done! Most people have no problem with theirs, so don't use me as an example.... Good luck with your surgery and do follow up with the physical therapy. I hope you can continue working if you need to, but cement floors will be hard on you. Blessings of light and healing. Let us know how it turns out. Praying for you!!!

Having been a recovery room nurse for 18 years.Seen many of knee surgeries.Especially after baseball and scoccer seasons. My only advace is to do all the physical theray the doctors prescribe. I know they are not easy but that is 100 % of getting well. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not onto your own understanding. God will take care of you and your fiances. Will be praying for you. Keep us posted as to how things are going. Praying .Love in Christ

surgery is always scary til it's over. i've had arthroscopic surgery 3x on my knees. ask for VERSED, it's a very lovely drug that eraces from your memory everything that happens till it wears off. you are able to answer questions, etc, before they put you out but you will have NO memory of it. it is a wonderful thing to ask the nurse when will i go to the operating room? and she'll say honey, you're all done! physical therapy is the key. with each of my surgeries they expected me to walk to the car to go home. you'll think it's impossible but it's not. good luck! ley us hear from you! and remember, with ice and versed all is doable!

I'm so sorry you have to go through this. I haven't had this surgery but I do urge you to talk through some of your concerns with your doctor. Sometimes, you have to push a little to get the information you need buy you have that right. He can tell you how long you are likely to be off your feet and that will help you plan. May God bless you and bring you through this.
