Most of the apps I use have nothing to do with quilting.
I have 2 drawing programs I use for quilting designs.
Adobe Ideas: pull in a pic of the block and audition quilting designs.
Penultimate: practice small FMQ motifs with your finger
General sketch:
Calc & Draw: Drawing board with calculator. I sketch things out and calculate sizes, number of blocks, yardage etc.
I also have iQuilt, QuiltFab and BlockFab-HD, but have never used them.

there is a new app fons and porter just released that lets you find quilting shops anywhere in the country, just put in a zip code. Its also free. It is called Quilts finder. Really neat app. If you go to search in the app store and put in 'quilting' there are several apps there. Some are free and some are a nominal cost. There are block design apps and apps to tell you how much fabric to buy etc.
