Isn't he a gem! What a beauty she is.

Now for the equipment: helmet, bike shorts, gloves, horn, mirror, tire pump, basket, good t-shoes, wick-away socks, water, energy bars, wick-away t-shirt, lip balm, sunblock, ...

Ain't like when we were 12 is it?

    Have fun.

They are much more comfortable and stylish than they used to be and just make sure you learn how to put it on right and tighten it to where it should be. You would be amazed at the people who wear them practically on the back of their head and I alwasy want to look at them and ask them what good it will do when they fly off the front of their bike. Your forehead is where some of your most important functions are, like memory, impulse control, temper control.

    Enjoy your new bike!
I second this suggestion. Very important to protect yourself however you can. There are a lot of people out there not only talking on phones, but now texting while driving, eating, putting on makeup, etc. You get the picture. Too many people not paying as much attention as they should. Oh, and be careful of gravel -- very easy to lose control of your bike in gravel. I don't want to bring anybody down, but it's smart to prepare however you can for your safety. Good job, MNQuilter. Thanks for bringing this up. :-)
