First let me say my DH is NOT a yard sale person - and I will only go if there's furniture. But per HIS suggestion we went to the Hwy 27 (or 127) yard sale that went from Ala. all the way up to Michigan. We left Thursday afternoon and drove to Crossville TN then started making our way back thru Ala then home to GA. We left home with no motel reservations, no idea where we were going to stay and really no idea of where we were going. I saw two featherweights (one was priced at $425 and the other was $325) but I didn't get one because I don't really know anything about them. I was so mad at myself for not doing some research before I left. I did get a treadle sewing machine base that I plan on making into a table and a little old wooden ironing board that I think I'll clean up and drape some of my quilts on. But what I got that you can't put a price on is time with DH and no stressing out about the raffle quilt I'm trying to get done for my DD adoption fund.

Glad you had fun. We went a few years ago and enjoyed it. You are right about the time with DH. The only time I really know my DH is listening to me is when we are in the truck going somewhere, no tv or other distractions.

I hope you didn't melt. We did it a couple of yrs ago and it was HOT, just like this year. Those aren't special FW prices, you can do better if you keep an eye out if that makes you feel better!

So glad you had a good time. It's always nice to spend some quality time with your spouse and not have to worry about other things.

I've seen that yard sale highlighted on HGTV and have wanted to go to that for a few years now! Some day!

Glad you had a wonderful time and could spend it with your DH. Some of our best trips have been unplanned and just see where the road takes us.

Glad you had fun. I've heard about the longest yard sale. Never been though.
