What gets me is that people who really are disabled are denied and then other people that don't really have a diability get it. They just know how to "work the system", as Judge Judy says

I also have heard if you are able to do any kind of work at all, you really aren't disabled. I've never been in that position, so I don't know.

Good luck with Tink, disability, and taxes. Taxes are the pits, ours are done.

Jingleberry, You are allowed to earn something like under $800 a month. And the way sales are going, I'm no where near that amount. I have had to scale my business so far back, that I'm barely in business. If it wasn't for the fact that I have supplies that need to be used and we need some little things, like grocerys and vet bill, I probably wouldn't keep working at it. But, if I didn't I would probably sink into a depression that I may not emerge from...

Is this regular disability or military disability? My best friends daughter is getting some military disability and another friend is helping her get in touch with Amvets or somesuch to try to get her disabilty increased...he had gotten his increased significantly...at least enough to make a difference instead of being a drop in the bucket in relation to his expenses of daily living.

Sending good thoughts your way. Don't give up!

We are going through the same thing with my husband, for disability from the military and the government. It's frustrating, and getting angry with them just puts your file on the bottom of the pile.

Every time DH calls he gets a different story depending on who he is talking to. We could wall paper the house with the documents he has had to provide, and the phone call interviews drive me nuts.

This past week hubby called and was told the government disability is scheduled to be tabled and a decision made April 5th. Hubby got off the phone and told me and I looked at him like he had two heads.... Monday April 5th is Easter Monday,it's a holiday for all government offices!! So now they have gotten to where they just blatantly lie...am I surprised??? Not in the least!

Don't give up, the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

    Hugs

Thanks, Shadow! I just got a letter from the lawyer stating that it could be another year before we have a date for judgement. On a side note, Tink must feel my stress....She has just plopped herself onto my wrists so that I can't type. She thinks it is sooooo cute. She is looking at the screen llilke she can read what I'm typing. LOL
Hopefully, you get your husbands disability and then can send good karma my way!
