So pretty. Are you able to find the clothesline locally? If I recall, it was recommended that you get the solid cotton cord, and I don't recall seeing that available.

We used the book It's a wrap but the instructor had made over 30 so was able to guide us while sharing.

Walmart has it in the laundry section...it is a mix of cotton and polypropylene, 50 ft long and is about 3/8" wide. With this size the outcome is much nicer than the thicker clothesline.

They are addictive to make. When I even up a yard of fabric for the first time, I cut 1/2 to 3/4 inch off the material and toss it in my scrap pile for baskets. I use what I call "Cheap Chinese Canadian Clothesline" from J's. I call it that because it's made in China, imported from Canada then sold in the US for 4.99. Probably costs pennies to make. And, you can special order and use a coupon. The label is white, black and red.

I really love your basket and you are right, a great way to use up not so favorite fabric.
I taught myself with the book and several Youtube videos...the secret is in having a firm hand when you are wrapping your cord, if you are not firm you will have a floppy basket. I have made several of these, they make great gifts.
