I did find a pattern for a simular piece for a twin or full bedspread with a eagle in the center...... and NO, I did not order it.. I did however order a table scarf pattern with an eagle at each end, shields in the middle........

I used to enter lots at our County Fair when I was a teenager. Tons of knitting and crocheting, a little bit of garment sewing - one year I made a yellow half-slip that won first prize. I was happy with the ribbon but kind of creeped-out that my underwear was on display for all the county to see! In later years, I entered the counted cross stitch Christmas stockings that I made for each of my three kids. Glad I did it then, when I had the time... I don't seem to have the patience anymore for all that needlework!
Maybe it's because I spend too much time on this computer!

I am so glad you got a blue ribbon on this. It is an awesome piece of work. My Mom used to crochet like this. Not me...I only crochet with yarn! And I don't do these sorts of things. My hat is off to you!
