well I too say that all I went thru made me who I am today and you know what? I like who I am! But...for the sake of fun. There were several boyfriends that wouldn't have been boyfriends, several friends who wouldn't have been friends (turned out they weren't anyway) and I would have learned more from my Grannie. Oh and I would have spoken my mind more when I was younger....I have no problem doing that now though!

I know I would have went to tech school before I had kids, now I feel too old to do what I really want to do....plus no money for school. But for the most part, I'm pretty happy.

I don't have many personal regrets, just things I wish hadn't happened around me, or that I'd seen!
I do wish hubby and I had been better educated in the financial area and gotten a bigger place to start out with and kept it, instead of moving four times.
    Oh well!
I have a good life now, so no complaints :-D

I would have completed my college degree when I returned to school in my 30's. With four kids, a part time job, and an old-fashioned dh, I finally ran out of steam. Looking back, it would have benefited me and my family much more if I had stuck to my plan and put myself first once in a while. I still don't do that. Think it's my generation and upbringing.

I would have been more assertive and more confident in myself.

I said I wish I'd gotten my Bachelor's BEFORE having my kids. Not only was it cheaper back then :) :) but it sure would have been alot easier to make ends meet when I was a single mom.
Fortunately my children saw how I struggled and they finished college before they got married so alot of good came out of it.
One of my friends said she wished she could go back and let her French grandmother to teach her French and agree to go to France with her when she was invited...twice!! We all smacked her....how could even a kid be so dense not to go to France if invited??? :) :)

The others all had interesting or funny things too.

Does anyone here have regrets you'd like to un-do, or enjoyed something so much you wish you could go back and enjoy it again?
I beleive, If I could do things over, I would have been true to myself,, and not done or been who I thought my parents wanted me to be. Not to blame them,, they always said to be me.. but how could I be me,, when I knew they expected the best for me? I wanted to be the smartest, the prettiest and the most liked. Unfortunetly, I found out,, I am none of the above... But,,, I am me,, and thats even better. I have finished my masters,,, I am average looking and I am well liked, for being me,, not trying to be what I thought was me. I would arther be liked for who I am,, than to be loved for who I am not... SOunded strange hearing that from ym parents, but now,, I fuly understand all of it,,,
Thansk for letting me go on and on,, I find myself like I am with old friends here,,,

I don't either. This is probably because mature behavior was always expected of me. I never remember being frivolous about anything.

I would have started quilting a lot younger. I think of all the missed opportunities for quilty gifts I've missed out on.
