And just where do you think other stores get their products from? Almost all manufacturing has gone to China, haven't you heard?

I'd rather pay the price increase than have the packaging shrunk. I don't like to be treated like I'm stupid.
And any time you see "new menu" or "new menu items" on a restaurant's menu, expect new prices too. Every time they upgrade those menus, it's to jack up the prices.

Ever notice how "new and improved" usually isn't an improvement?
Shrinking sizes = consumer buys more of the product. Need 16 oz and package only contains 12 oz? You need to buy another package. Follow the money trail....everything is about profit. Most people think of only the "one" product they are buying, but take for example Kleenex. By cutting each sheet even a hundredth of an inch smaller, multiplied by billions of sheets, that is a huge savings for the company.
What is the answer? Perhaps we need to become more self-sufficient? Grow our own? Raise our own animals? Not really practical if you live in a city. I think we are being "held hostage" by the big companies.
Just my opinions here....

i guess we are "dumb" and"stupid" to allow this to happen.....I few complaint letters to the companies might give them something to talk about at their next board meeting!
