To the time when my grandmother was still alive so she could teach me quilting. She was the family quilter and also repaired quilts. Her favorite was Grandmothers flower garden.

I also hate the automated phone system. It's impossible to get through to a "live" person

I would love to go back to the slower pace of life. It seemed you had more time to just relax. Now everything is just so fast paced.

Wow! I have to agree with everyone. I would go back to all of that and give up NEARLY everything except...indoor plumbing and paper products. I loved the whole "canning, gardening, butter making, baking, and just being a wife & mom"

I would love to go back to a time where everyone wasnt so busy and had to be in several places at once. I would love to sit on my porch and visit with neighbors but they all work.

Its easy to remember yesteryear with fond memories. But also try to recall how difficult and time consuming common tasks were. Some of our current advancements have enhanced the lives of many. Women no longer have to spend the entire day washing and drying laundry only to have it get rained on. I am no longer limited to the goods made in America but can acquire just about anything made woldwide and at cheaper prices. Some of the fabrics we use are not produced in America. If we don't like some of the advancements that have been made we can avoid using them and teach our children to do the same.

I've read allll the posts and have enjoyed that walk down memory lane. I certainly miss the simple things of life that we all shared back then. I'm sorry that none of my grandchildren will ever experinece the wonderful times that I did.

I would love to go back to a time where everyone was not to busy and found time on a weekly basis to visit with family, and friends. I'd also like to see more snail mail, than emails.
