Yep, this is a tough one. There are lots of things that I would have done differently, but what has come in my life have made me who I am today. Although there are things that I truly wish were different, I make a conscious effort to focus on what is positive today and not dwell on things that can't be changed. If you look at a frown from a different angle it can turn into a smile ;-)

My husband and I had this conversation last night. I said I would have become a veterinarian. I regret not having pursued that as a career. He suggested that I contact a local vet and offer my services as a volunteer... I'm making that contact tomorrow.

I would have finished college and encouraged my DH to as well. We were highschool sweethearts and married at 21 because we couldn't wait to live together...and back then that wasn't done. We're still together and I love him DEARLY, but not finishing college will always be my one regret. His too. Never had the money for either of us to go back. So instead, we're making sure our kids get their education. Two down...one is a freshman!

I can echo many of what you've said here- married too young, kids early, 2 years of college and no money to go back. Married again, complicated life with steps, and raising kids.
Now I look back and think- so they weren't all good decisions and I do regret some things along the way (secrets to go to my grave with) but I figure my kids and hubby love me as I am so I guess I'm OK.
Now about these extra 40 lbs..........
