If you could

Think I will stay here in time. Things were hard back then but you didn't miss the things you didn't have since you didn't know about them. We used to do primitive camping for weeks at a time (Hubby was is a black ppowder shooter) Lived in tents and tipi, dressed in the long dress gear from 1840 period. Cok over the open fire, used outside toilets. It was fun the the kids loved it but I knew when the time was up I could come back to my hom with all the convientiences. Guess we get spoil.

I would go back...I can only imagine what my g-g-g grandmother's life was like. She gave birth to 13 children, 12 survived. Martha Ward Swycaffer was born in 1840 in Texas, and went to Southern California by stagecoach in 1854. Her sister and traveling companion died on that trip at the Valecito stage stop, and is considered to be the "White Lady (ghost) of Valecito". Martha married Joseph in 1857, and raised her 12 living children with no electricity, no disposable diapers, no formulas, no washer/dryer, no vacuum cleaner, dishwasher, etc.
I'd like to check it out. ;)

I know I asked the question and didn't answer it myself....I don't know, if I really could do it AND come back, I think I would travel to the future...I would hope the world would be a better place for my precious grandbabies, but if it wasn't it would be sad. It would be neat to be able to travel back in time to different eras, but I wouldn't want to stay....just visit for a while.
