If you could take a trip to anywhere in the world where would you go?

I am going on a 14 day quilting cruise from LA to Hawaii in October. It is through worldofquiltstravel.com. We will have Pat Blair, Melinda Bula, and Marie Strat as teachers.
I flew to Hawaii last year for a Hawaiian applique workshop. It was great. I have been to China (walked the great wall), Greece, Turkey, Russia, and Austriala. All those trips had nothing to do with quilting. I would love to go to Alaska but not on a quilting cruise. There is so much to see that I could not stay focused on quilting.

Only one quilter here has mentioned coming to Canada. More of you should put it on your list of must see places. The country is beautiful with any activity available, it's a safe place to travel, we are polite and welcoming and your $ is still worth a little more than ours so you will get good value. Some of you even live close enough to the border to easily drive north. There are lots of quilt shows across the country and you might be able to fit one in with your travel plans.

I want to go to Norway and find the island where my great-grandparents were from (mother's family). They were both from Huftaroy Isl. in the Austevoll area. I have heard you take a ferry in the area south of Bergen to get there. My G-grandfather had the name Heimark and my G-grandmother had the name Storebo cause they took the name of the area where they lived. Also would love to go to England someday as my father's side of the family came from there in 1630 (Puritans from England then).
I did make it to Australia in 1990 and loved it!
