Dreamer they get awful tornados, high winds, heavy heavy rain. (And thats just in the summer.)The humidity is high. The winters are cold, wet, gloomy and can have really bad ice storms. Of course, this is in my opinion. I am terrified to drive in snow. I only lived there for three years. I was very glad to come home.

I felt very limited on things I was interested in. But, I will give you one thing. The people there are very very nice. (Southern Charm to spare!)

I have lived in Florida since 2007, moving down from Alaska so you know that is a big change. I live in the Panhandle about 60 miles west of Tallahassee. I really like living here now, took some getting use to, getting use to the 3 months of hot, humid weather, July, August & Sept. I stay in and sew more during those months. Right now through most of June the weather is just about right, warm but not too hot. We definitely have 4 seasons here, you just have to notice them when they occur. We have been fortunate to not have had much in way of really bad storms. Seems like most of them go the west & east of us, I think it is because of the shape of the coast causing the weather to kind of split in either direction.
We spent a winter down here experiencing the climate, people, things to do & what we like & didn't like. I think for anyone choosing a place to move to (if retiring) they should spend sometime there before just dumping their eggs in a basket they might regret later.
