she's beautiful, and there's nothing like being a grandma or grandpa unless it is being a greatgrandma or greatgrandpa! Enjoy your little one--they don't stay little long!:)

Bless you and your family. 2 of my grands got to spend their first few days in NICU too. It's a special place and they get lots of love and mommy and daddy will get lots of support too.

Hi, Congrats on your new granddaughter!!!! You are not that far from me. I lived in Chesterfield for 25 years while raising my three daughters. We lived in the Meadowbrook area at the time. Now I live near Ft. Pickett., about 60 miles south of Richmond. Take care and enjoy that new baby.

Update.... as of Friday morning, Layla is still in NICU....she tried twice to go home, and roomed in with mommy but her heart monitor kept going off all night...Apparently she isn't a fan of multitasking (breathing AND eating, breathing AND sleeping....)

She's getting the hang of it, but won't come home till at least Monday..
