I'm bored....

ok normally I never let myself say that but today I am bored! I have plenty of housework to do....don't want to, quilts to work on...need to wait on fabric to wash, supper to make....will be quick and easy. I didn't sleep well at all last night and when I did finally get to sleep (at like 2:30) the dog woke me up and then dd woke up sick. So today I've just been out of sorts and gotten nothing accomplished. No school for the kiddos to speak of what with 1 sick and the other not feeling great either and me being so tired. So today we've read. I really think part of my problem is I'm tired of winter. Its also wet and muddy and nasty out...it did finally quit drizzling though. I declare if just ONE weather forecaster says we are in drought this year I may just go slap them silly!

I am right there with you. Not bored, but unable to concentrate on anything. DH started a fire on the fire place and all of a sudden it got so windy (I can see Lake Champlain from my window, therefore it can get really windy) that the smoke couldn't go up, therefore it filled the livingroom. At 1:00 AM we were opening the doors to make the smoke go away and not go upwhere the kids were sleeping. The unexpected wind finally let go around 4:00AM and we fell asleep, but I don't feel rested at all. DH had a Dr's appointment and we had to wait in the waiting room fo almost 2 hours before hey even called him in. I was really upset.I had told DH if they called in one more person before us I was walking away. They must have heard me and called us right away. I go back to work tomorrow for the first time this year, work for 2 weeks and get laid off. Not looking forward to it.

Sounds like you are tired, not bored. I've gotten so that I only sleep good every other night. To many things prancing through my mind. Quilts to sew, fabric to buy, quilting board to check on, etc, etc, etc.

I think we all get days like this...just go with the flow, regroup and garner energy for tomorrow. The weather has a lot to do with it...yesterday here was terribly humid and I couldn't get myself going 'til around 3 in the afternoon.

Oh I hear ya...I just said that today. I told my daughter I couldn't stand it in this house or winter any longer it's driving me bonkers....LOL My daughter has a scrapbook store and I have all my sewing things there cause the tables are huge and the lighting is great, but she is closed on Mondays so I'm lost. But i do agree this winter has alot of people down...the gloomy gray days and cold. Here is Michigan it's like that every day, very little sunshine.

I think most of us are ready for some sunny spring days :D:D:D The other day the sun came out, I was sitting in it while sewing, it was a great pick me up...I bet we could ALL use some sunshine on our shoulders
