I'm not a morning person are you???

I am a morning person. I'm usually up by 5 or 4:30. Doesn't matter when I go to sleep either. I value my alone time which is much easier when you no longer have kids at home. Although, all 5 dogs get up with me too.

As a high school teacher I got up at 5:30a.m. for 30 yrs. I retired in 1996 & I still wake up around 5:00a.m. every day no matter what time I go to bed. It is great for summer as I get my work done before it gets hot.

I have to be up for work by 7 or 8 depending on the day, so I have become a morning person. Even on a day off I don't sleep real late. Most nights I am asleep by 9 or 10. Staying up until 11 is late for me.

I am not a morning, as in, I don't like to go anywhere early, but I love being up early, &, at home. I am also a night owl, & we seldom turn out the lights before midnight here. If I sleep in too long, which seldom happens, having 3 dogs now, I feel like I have slept have my day away. Love being up a little later at night too. Use to have trouble sleeping, but not much now, with the two new pups we got a year ago, lol....

I've always gotten up really early, usually between 4 and six. I have been known to get up around 2 or 3. I just dont require much sleep sometimes. But at the advice of those who've had to live with me its best not to talk to me for the first 30 minutes to an hour. My mind stays a little foggy till I get my coffee. And my eyes have time to clear the fog, I cant see well for about 30 minutes after I get up, its like looking through dirty glasses. I've had to explain to many people that I have low blood sugar, low heart rate, low blood pressure and for me waking up is like starting a old Plymouth on a cold winter day, I'll start but I need to warm up for a bit before pulling out of the drive.

I wish I weren't a morning person, but my little dog Daisy wakes me up at 5:00 am every morning without fail. Sometimes she is nice and lets me sleep in until 5:30! They told me she was a chihuahua - wired hair terrier mix, but I think she is part rooster.

LOL - A few times recently I have checked my blood sugar and BP early. The BP was 80/42 or thereabouts, pulse in the 40's and the BS was 100. I say it's no wonder I can't get going when I first get up - I'm just barely alive. Give a girl a break!
