I'm in pain!

So has anybody developed shoulder pain from sewing?
Finally broke down and went the doc today, my shoulder has been giving me fits for a few weeks. He said my shoulder was really inflamed, gave me loratab,a muscle relaxer and a shot of cortisone :( He asked if I have been doing a new activity ....ummmm sewing?
I am hoping the new table i got coming will help.

I've got a nice sewing cabinet and a comfy adjustable office chair...but I often catch myself "hunching" over my sewing machine or computer, which makes my back and shoulders hurt! It helps me to take frequent breaks and sit up straight (easier said than done)!

With fibromyalgia, scoliosis and a deformed hip ya never know what's gonna hurt. But tonight it's my right wrist. So, I put Biofreeze on it and give it a rest. We'll see what tomorrow brings:-)

My left shoulder has been aching for months now. I can't lift it past just below shoulder high and can't sleep on my left side -- if I roll over to that side it wakes me up. I've started taking ibuprophen in the morning so I can move it without pain. Been putting off going to the doc because I don't want her to tell me to stop sewing so I just grin, take ibuprophen and bear it. :)

I tend to hunch over my sewing machine and over the cutting mat when I'm measuring and cutting. Inevitably I end up with a sore back - right in the center. Oh well, frequent breaks give me time to check the forums!
