How very sad! My heartfelt sympathy to the family and to you, as well. Lean on your faith at all times. It will never be ok...but it will eventually get easier.

So very sad. May God embrace Barbie and send his love and healing to the bride, groom, and family.

There was a beautiful article in the paper about her today. Not an obit a real story written by a reporter.

My friend emailed all of us, was the easiest way to get to everybody. I will see her Friday at the visitation. I am going with another quilting friend and a third woman who works with me who used to be Barbie's kindergarten teacher. I think between us today, we got most of the tears out. I thought I was weepy until I talked to the teacher. Apparently Barbie was one of her favorites and they used to be neighbors for several years.

The older sister and fiance are in pretty bad shape too. Apparently a crush injury to the foot that is pretty serious for the sister and fractures and deep cuts to the bone for the fiance. The sister is out of her mind with grief and guilt for taking her on the trip...the accident apparently was not their fault. She is hysterical with grief that even breaks through the heavy pain meds they have her on.
