This should be a pretty simple thing to fix.

Or, here is the explanation:
Open Safari, in the header, right click in a grey area - NOT in the address bar or on an icon.
"Customize Toolbar" appears, left click on this and a window opens showing all the options available.
Just drag and drop the icons you are missing

If you are talking about a backspace key, if you hold down the "fn" (the bottom left key, and hit your "delete" key at the same time it deletes from the right side of the cursor...I just learned that :)
