I watched the Celtic Women tonight on PBS.. lovely show. I love the Rankin Family (for upbeat irish sounds) and also a long time favorite is Maura O'Connell. Anyone else love Irish music?

Sure do! Some of our local boys:

    Irish Descendants
    Navigators
    Great Big Sea
    Masterless Men
    Siochana (pronounced shhhhh-con-a)

And not from Newfoundland... Celtic Thunder

If you search for any of these bands in You Tube you get enough music to last until St. Paddie's Day!

My daughter really likes Celtic Thunder, Needfire, and Irish Rogues.

Just got back from Irish Fest in Dallas...hard to pick a favorite, they were all good! Vishtin and Irish Descendents were two new to me that I especially liked.

Glad to hear you liked the Irish Descendants! Con (lead singer) is my husband's cousin. We love his music!

Celtic music is my very favorite!! We just saw the Chieftains in concert last week with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra; they've been around for about 48 years. Clannad is another favorite. Saw Celtic Fiddle Festival in concert a couple of years ago. Dublin, Ohio has an annual Irish Festival in August, one of the largest in the States. Lots of music, dancing, fiddling, games, food, it's wonderful.
Too many wonderful groups to list.

I'm a Maura O'Connell fan; I also like Mary Black, The Chieftains, and others, but haven't added to my CD collection in too many years. I've gotten out of the loop and don't know who is doing what any more.
