You know, my 14 YO son is the nicest kid, we often have his friends spend the night and he is the most well mannered and courteous kid, very affectionate, eager to please, understands money shortages and accepts that he can't have everything he wants and he has good hair, too.

I'm all for positive thinking. I believe that what you focus on grows. So here's to a positive attitude.

My daughter and son-in-law are going to be moving closer. Right now they live 1 hour and 55 min. away. They will be at the most 1 hour and 30 min. Every little bit helps.

Didn't get to sew today, but did something better. Went to historic town with 2 grandchildren for clay and fiber fest. Had a wonderful 4 1/2 hours with them. Priceless.

I survived breast cancer this year and I am grateful for that.

My nearly 20 year old dd came home the other day and proudly announced that she is now the sponsor of a 3 year old little girl named Astrid from Mexico. I am so proud of the godly woman she is becoming. My older dd and her dh are both employed, going to start a family soon (hurrah! I want to be a grandma). My dh loves me and takes real good care of us. I am so blessed.

I am a very burnt out nurse, however , I actually once in a blue moon get to connect with a patient that dosn't suck the life out of me.
I had the pleasure of caring for the most beautiful soul last week, he still has me smiling. It was an unusually slow night,he was my only patient. He was an 85 year old man, I sat by his bed for 2 hours straight and then off and on through the long 12 hour night, and listened to his lifes stories. Now usually If someone starts talking religion I run,but he had a true Christian spirit, he was a retired Quaker minister and a farmer, He had the best outlook on life I have seen for a VERY, VERY long time. His eyes just shined with joy, he really blessed me :)
