My new grand daughter was born on the 12th. I've driven to Indiana three times to help out. (Am here right now) Mom had a C-section so needs the help, and I've gotten lots of grandma time in. She's wonderful, but I'm missing my husband. Just talked to him and made plans for tomorrow when I get home. So life is good.

We were right in the middle of a short sale when the bank notifies us that we didn't fill out the appropriate paper work that they insisted they'd sent. They were foreclosing in 2 days. Short sale is one thing-Foreclosure will kill our credit. Realtor talked them into 30 days. We have til the 5th with no bites. Just knew we would have to rent a not-so-nice place.

We found the sweetest couple that are letting us Rent-to-Own their home. Wow, is it nice!

One door SLAMMED shut and another opened with blinding light!

Trying so hard to look at the positives in everything instead of the negative-this one was hard but I did it!

Instead of posting what went wrong today I'm posting what went right:

Saw on Facebook some new beautiful photos of our 2 week old great grandson and his dad,

We're actually making progress getting house back together after a bathroom redo, and DH and I didn't have another fight about how to paint the bathroom

Enjoyed not cooking dinner tonight, reheated leftover stuffed peppers I make a few days ago

Tried a new cake mix and it's great, so great that I'm going to get myself another piece.

I am with you 100 per cent. I learned during a year of chemo and radiation that negative talk only made me feel worse. I found no comfort in "venting." It can still bring me down if I'm not careful.

Wow, what a wonderful story. Congrats on finding such a great guy.

It is always cranky season in my home. My husband is a loveable curmudgeon. Ant the oldest dog is always grumping at the youngest. But life is sweet. I have my dolls, my dogs, and my quilting.

I am going on a 3 day quilt retreat with my girlfriend. It will be my first and I'm so excited. Packed a small suitcase with lots of finish up projects and plan to eat and sew...sew and eat. There will always be things to complain about (gas, food, fabric, clothes prices) but at least my bills are paid, have a nice stash to work from, have a job and enjoy my family so I consider those all the important things to look forward to every day. Thanks for the reminder.
