I used to work with a women who was a germaphobe - a nasty one. She was my BFF's ex-SIL and had made her life miserable. If I sneezed, she'd start spraying lysol everywhere. I'm asthmatic so that didn't go over very well. I had someone mail her an anonymous note saying "I spit on your mouse." She went bananas.

Okay -- let's take another viewpoint on this. Let's say the "owner" of that chair has severe back and/or knee problems. Let's say that after being off a day or a few days, she/he comes back to find the chair missing. When it's found at another desk, he/she tries to sit in it and someone has changed the configuration on it....moved it up or down or tilted it every which way. It takes time to get them back to the "perfect" fit. Yeah -- I feel for the owner of the chair!!! I had back and knee problems and it irritated the hell out of me that I'd be gone and return to the chair being changed....sometimes by someone that only used it for a few minutes. Would I put a chain lock on it.....NO....that's going to far. Just saying ----- there's 2 sides to every story, so don't put the "owner" down too hard.

Don't be so quick to judge. I have back problems and purchased my own chair for work. I had to adjust it to fit my needs. To have someone come along and borrow it and possibly redo my adjustments only cause me more pain to set it back to be where I needed it for my comfort.
