A group of us got together and made about 125 quarts of chicken corn soup and beef veggie soup as a fund raiser. The orders will be picked up after Church on Sunday. A Souper Bowl - get it?

Not much in the way of motivation here! But tonight I will continue to work on a large bargello ... this always happen toward the end of a project .... my initative just falls off. I guess because I already know how its going to "look" !

Everyone sounds so busy and productive today! I'm being lazy, washed some new fabric with the idea I'd do some cutting, don't want to Iron it, had a class on embelishments last Wed, have home work for it but can't make up my mind where to put what, have a class on applique comming up on Thursday, started to gather supplies for it, can't decide what colors to take, Started a book on my Kindel, it ran out of power, and I wonder why I have UFO's! LOL

I am recovering from being up til 2 a.m sewing with my friend. We are putting a warm wishes quilt together for a gift. Then today I went and bought material for the border. So I am excited to see the end results.

I spent the day working on a lap quilt for one of our wounded warriors. This is a boy from our community that our son went to high school with. This brave warrior lost both legs and one arm. Here is a link to his Face Book page

Not feeling so good today. So, I have been watching movies and working on some hand embroidery. It's hubby's day to cook supper. He's making this awesome Mexican chili-like stuff and serving it on brown rice. It smells amazing!

Went to sewing club this morning at Missouri Sewing Machine, then this afternoon I taught a class after club on the 9 patch wonder potholder, and the fleece loop scarf. We had a good time. Each month after club, one of us is going to teach the group something and we get to sew together for a few hours. We thought it is a nice way to sew away the winter blues and learn something new. Next month we are making Ort boxes. I can't wait! I need to get off the computer and get something done.
