116 today in the shade of our patio. It's going to be 110+ for the next week. We expect it here in the desert, we stay inside and have good AC.

We are getting the same weather here on the East coast and it isn't fun...been going on all month. No A/C here either. Never thought it was worth the $$ here in Maine; but guess they are in big demand right now. Hoping to see a break in the pattern soon.

101 degrees!!!!!!!!!! It feels like a sauna outside. It's too stinking HOT!!!
How is it where you live?
Heat index when I got off work and climbed on a hay rack tonight was 110 degrees. I am not kidding, ugly outside, it's ten and heat index is still 100 degrees. Solon, Iowa

It's high 90's here in California - thankfully we don't have much humidity.

Hot here, too. It's true the humidity is the killer, but hot is hot regardless!! I was out west about 4 years ago and the temperature hit 105 in South Dakota!!! YIKES!!!!! Thought I had stepped into an oven! I could have baked cookies in my car for crying out loud!!!

Okay, its 2am here in Phoenix. Temp is 98 degrees, dew point is 57 degrees, and humidity is 26%. Keep in mind it is the middle of the night. Tomorrow we are supposed to be up to 115 degrees with dew points above 55 degrees. It is no longer a dry heat!
