I've been blessed big-time
a lady from New Mexico and member of this forum (Julie) made me this quilt because I sent her a redwork pattern, and because I make dolls to give away to VERY sick kids. How fortunate can one be. I wanted to share it. I'll be hanging it in my home.
What a special place the forum is. It has a special place in my heart.
Thanks Quilting Board

thanks so much all of you for honoring me with your words. I am glad you enjoyed the redwork Julie is sending my way. I probably don't deserve it, but I am so happy to be getting it. It is adorable.
thanks again. Big hugs to everyone of you.

How it all began...I was in chat one evening and Vickey knew I did red work and asked if I'd like a book..she didn't want it. Why of course I'd take the book. Flipped thru it and stopped...there it was. The lady holding a doll! Found the fabric in my stash. Have the thread. Traced the pattern and sewed like a crazy lady. Didn't touch my machine all week. Poor thing felt neglected...lol. Right now she's haning in my living room. Just need to look at it a little more before sending her to her new home. I just love sending surprises!!

What a beautiful piece of work and how sweet of you to send it to a friend that so richly deserves it. I say it over and over but I truly love this board and all of the members. Nothing nicer than quilters for sure.
I moved 1000 miles away 3 1/2 years ago after I was widowed. I moved to be closer to my children and I left all of my longtime friends behind. I would still be searching for a group of friends if I wasn't a quilter. I am off today to my weekly "BEE"...so much fun to see all my new friends...we sew, laugh and simply enjoy each others stories...
